The Kangaroo Island NRM Board became responsible for managing, protecting and restoring Kangaroo Island’s unique natural resources on 1 July 2005. It replaced the previous KI Natural Resources Board, KI Soil Conservation Board and KI Animal Plant Control Board to provide integrated, holistic and coordinated natural resource management for the Island’s soil, water, coastal and natural biodiversity assets.
